Papillon is excited to offer this unique sightseeing tour of Hoover Dam from the air and from the water! The helicopter portion of the tour departs from the heliport adjacent to the Hoover Dam Lodge and provides stunning views of the historic dam, Lake Mead, and the Colorado River. This tour covers about 10 miles in the air flying at 2,500 feet along Hoover Dam and the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. Papillon has the clearance to fly closer to Hoover Dam than any other tour operator. As with all Papillon tours, informative in-flight narration is provided to share notable points of interest and the history of the area. The adventure continues after checking in for the raft portion of the tour with a shuttle transporting passengers to the base of Hoover Dam. An experienced guide will inform and entertain guests on a 30-minute float trip on the Colorado River with views of Black Canyon. This is an incredible vantage point of the massive Hoover Dam for everyone onboard. Passengers will truly gain a new perspective of this engineering marvel. Guests are returned to the lodge with photos and memories of these fantastic sights.
