Grand Canyon West: home of the incredible Grand Canyon Skywalk, where the bottom of the Grand Canyon is just a helicopter ride away! See and do everything that makes this Grand Canyon park unique, and get back to Las Vegas in time to have more fun. This adventure begins with shuttle service from your Las Vegas Hotel to the Boulder City Airport Terminal. The excitement builds as your plane glides over the abstract austerity of the Mojave Desert, the O’Callaghan-Tillman Bridge, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Oversize windows and high-wing construction make the Twin Otter Vistaliner the perfect aircraft for sightseeing and photography. After landing at the Grand Canyon West airstrip, climb aboard our state of the art helicopter for a thrilling descent 4,000’ down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, getting up close and personal with the Grand Canyon’s rugged cliffs and majestic spires! A short hike down a canyon trail leads to the riverside dock, where pontoon boats wait to take you on a relaxing smooth water float on the Colorado River. After your river ride, it’s time to board your helicopter and fly back topside, where motor coaches are ready to resume your tour. Time to visit Arizona’s newest and most exciting attraction, the Grand Canyon Skywalk! This horseshoe-shaped glass-bottom platform juts 70 feet past the canyon’s edge without struts or support beams, giving you the spine-tingling sensation of walking on air hundreds of feet above the Grand Canyon. Although personal cameras are forbidden on the Skywalk, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase a souvenir photo prior to the conclusion of your tour. Time permitting you can learn more about the Native people of the Southwest by touring the Eagle Point Indian Village, or watching a Native dance performed by tribe members in ceremonial regalia. At Guano Point, named for a failed venture to mine bat guano from the Canyon in the 1950’s, walk around the promontory to view remnants of the tram line and other mining relics that still stand. You can choose any location at the Grand Canyon to enjoy a meal that is included in your tour. After approximately 3.5 hours at Grand Canyon West, you’ll board the airplane for return flight to Boulder City and return transport to your hotel.
